Create a Colour Palate

Whether you are trying to pick colors for a couples’ invitations or developing a palate for your own website, sometimes getting the perfect color combinations can be tough.

One cool little tool that I tend to have some fun with, is an online Colour Palate Creator you can view online here: http://www.degraeve.com/color-palette/ - simply put in the web address of an inspiration photo, and instantly have a number of colors picked out direct from the image.

It even creates two color palates – one dull one, one vibrant one

It’s a great tool when a bride sends a picture of her bridesmaid dress, but the invitation printer needs to know a bit more about the specific colors or shade to use – you can now give them a very close numbered color, even though it’s a web color based number.

TT: Wed Again?

I was talking with a good friend on the weekend, and she was asking me if I ever wanted to ‘re-do’ my wedding, since everyday I’m surrounded by incredible wedding ideas, and new wedding products!

I answered a very quick ‘no, I loved my wedding’, but then I got thinking…would I have loved a different style of wedding just as much? Is there a trend or idea I really wished I had included?

After some hard thinking, I realized that although my wedding was simple, it was ‘us’ on so many levels – it was fun, it was memorable, and nearly 11 years later, our friends and family still talk about it…so ultimately, and surely, my answer would have to be ‘no’.
