Jolyn Saramaga, PBC, WPICC has a long story about how she came into being a wedding planner…so here is it…

“The short story…my husband was a wedding DJ, and the only way I could see him on a Saturday night, was to be his assistant (at 40+ weddings a year). One wedding, I was the only female vendor…so when the brides’ dress began to fell apart, I rushed off to the bathroom to help her saftey pin it together…and then she started crying…and telling me about all the other problems that day – wrong flowers, cold food, rude photographer….

At 3am that morning, as we got back home and unpacked all the DJ gear, I vowed that I couldn’t watch another couple have such a bad wedding day.

That day, set in motion the plans to become a wedding coordinator…but there was no one to mentor me, or allow me to intern with them, or gain wisdom from…
