Wedding MBA – Sept.21-24

If you don’t have the sixth annual Wedding MBA conference on your schedule, you need to add it!!

The Wedding Merchants Business Association is a fabulous conference to give your wedding business skills a fine tuning – and this year the conference is being hosted in Vegas – all the more reason to come (afterall, even Wedding Planners need a little play time!)

The Special Event – Jan 28-30

This year’s The Special Event 2009 will be held in sunny San Diego, Calfornia from January 28-30, 2009.

Be sure to get in your early registration by December 22 to benefit from the cost savings (especially with our lower dollar these days). If you are looking for additional cost savings, consider the Hands-on Hundred program - a workstudy program that allows you to be part of the behind the scenes crew to make the event a success. This is experience you won’t get anywhere else!

The Special Event is also pleased to introduce a dedicated Wedding track for those who work solely with weddings – although you are free to partake in any of the sessions you are interested in.

California Couture – Nov. 9-11

If you are a member of the Association of Bridal Consultants (ABC) , then you don’t want to miss the annual wedding planners conference – California Couture being held in Newport, California.

This year’s conference features celebrity designer Colin Cowe, and Barbara Wallace as a keynote speaker. I’m getting excited for my escape into a warmer climate as winter begins to descend here…and if you come to the conference, be sure to introduce yourself and say hi!
